Scrapbook Sunday with Hochanda

Happy Sunday everyone! We love everything about scrapbooking, from deciding on a theme and what to include to having a beautiful final product full of memories and keepsakes to hold on to, so we decided to gather some of our favourite tips and ideas that you can use for inspiration on your very own scrapbook…

Scrapbooking is a wonderful way to store all of those happy memories, tell stories and celebrate special occasions. The beauty of a scrapbook is that it gives you a great opportunity to get really creative with what you’re making. A scrapbook can contain anything at all, from photos, old tickets, newspaper clippings, and so much more.

One of our top tips with getting started with your scrapbook, is to make sure you have a theme before you begin. Wedding Scrapbooks, Travel Scrapbooks, Baby Scrapbooks, Birthday Scrapbooks, you name it, if you can think of theme, you can create it! We love this Family Heritage theme from Genealogy or maybe celebrate moving house with a scrapbook to track your move into your new home like this one from Debbie Hodge?

Once you’ve decided what will be in your scrapbook, you can start thinking of the layout and style you want to use. There is loads of inspiration out there, but a top tip is not to go overboard, and stick to a few key concepts that you can carry through the whole scrapbook. Check out this great advice from Paper Wishes, including first hand do’s and don’ts!

Be sure to fill your pages with lots of artistic flair, and include unique detailing in your borders, layouts, stamping and more. Martha Stewart has some lovely inspiration including these crafty Accordion Pages, and check out DIY Ready for lots of inspiration such as using buttons, stencils and paper-crafts to really add something special to your scrapbook, and remember to visit Hochanda to find all your scrapbooking supplies.

We hope we’ve inspired you to create your own, happy scrapbooking!

She's travelled all the way from Denmark to bring you incredible shows across three days, showcasing the Christmas paper range from Creativ Company. Lotte will be bringing you lots of demonstrations throughout her shows on how you can use all of these beautiful papers to create a Scandi Christmas this year. Here's just one of the projects Lotte will be showing this week...  Step 1. Half two 2.5cm wide paper star strips. Now only use three of the four paper star strips. Step 2. Double over each of the three paper star strips and cut all the ends at an angle. Put a star strip around another star strip and fold it tightly three times around this star strip. This is illustrated in the picture. Repeat this process with the other two star strips. Step 3. Assemble the three paper star strips over and under each other, forming three double le
